Ngapali Beach
Ngapali Beach is the most beautiful beach in Myanmar. It is located in Rakhine State, facing the Bay of Bengal. Some say the name comes from an Italian who thought it looked like Naples Beach in Italy.
With its white sand, blue sea, and sunny weather, it has become a favorite spot for beach lovers. You can reach it easily by plane from Yangon in about 45 minutes.
The resort area is about 6.5 km west of Thandwe. The beach stretches for over three kilometers, with soft white sand and coconut palm trees along the shore. Visitors can enjoy walking, sunbathing, and taking photos.
There are also other things to do, such as visiting small fishing villages, exploring the countryside by bicycle, and taking boat trips to nearby islands. If you like golf, there is also an 18-hole golf course close to the beach.

Ngwe Saung Beach
Ngwe Saung is a quiet and peaceful beach resort in Myanmar's Ayeyarwady Region. It does not have the busy crowds or mass tourism that you often find at other beaches in Southeast Asia. This makes it a great place to relax and unwind.
The beach is about a five-hour bus ride from Yangon, so it is easy to reach. Apart from a few nice resorts and a small local village, the area is still mostly undeveloped. It is much less crowded than many other beaches in the region.
Ngwe Saung Beach is over 13 miles long, so there is plenty of space for sunbathing and relaxing with a good book. The beach became more well-known after Myanmar opened up to foreign tourism in 2011, and it is now becoming one of the country's top resort destinations.
Chaung Tha Beach
Chaung Tha is a lively and fun beach located about 40 km west of Pathein in the Ayeyarwady Region. It is about a five-hour drive from Yangon, and many young people from the city come here for vacations and weekend getaways.
Even on a short weekend trip, many visitors make the drive just to enjoy the beach, eat fresh seafood, and relax by the water.
The beach is not as beautiful as Ngapali or Ngwe Saung, but it is still worth visiting. It gives you a chance to see how local Myanmar people enjoy their time by the sea.
The sand is white, and the water is clear and blue. The main attraction is a small pagoda built on a limestone rock at the southern end of the beach. Chaung Tha is also more affordable than the other two beaches. It gets especially crowded during weekends, the Thingyan Water Festival, and in May when school summer vacation ends.
